Jesse VenRooy

Education: Bachelor of Business Administration, Double Major Accounting and Operations Management from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire; Associates’ Degree – Liberal Arts from University of Wisconsin – Marathon County.

Experience: State of WI – Department of Revenue – Revenue Auditor; DOR Speakers Bureau Speaker; Income Reconstruction Expert – DOR

Areas of Expertise: Individual Income, S-corporations, Partnerships, Sales & Use tax auditing, training, and law.

Prior to starting Glaringly Objective Accounting & Tax, LLC, Jesse spent a shade under 10 years with the State of Wisconsin – Department of Revenue specializing in conducting Individual Income, S-corporation, Partnership, and Sales & Use tax audits, specifically in the cash intense businesses. 

In addition, Jesse presented as the Income Reconstruction Expert many times to both private business organizations and internally with the Department of Revenue. As the Income Reconstruction Expert for the Department of Revenue, Jesse assisted in updating and/or establishing current audit procedures for the tavern industry. 

Jesse’s grandparents owned and operated a local tavern. Jesse’s mother managed and operated a local bar and restaurant, where Jesse served and bussed tables, washed dishes, and cleaned floors as a young adult.  As a professional, Jesse has specialized in Individual Income, S-corporation Franchise, Partnership, and WI Sales & Use as they relate to the tavern industry.

Jesse has a passion for assisting taxpayers with staying in compliance with all Federal and State tax, while providing knowledge, experience, and reference materials to those laws.  He does this through a mix of public presentations and individual consultations and records review.
